Welcome to MinistrElife! This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and MinistrElife, a product of the American Baptist Home Mission Societies (“ABHMS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), governing your access to and use of the MinistrElife application (the “App”) on all platforms (web, mobile, and tablet).

 By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing in or using MinistrElife, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by the terms of this EULA, our [Privacy Policy], and other policies made available within the App.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful purposes in accordance with this EULA.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use MinistrElife. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use.

5. ✨ Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Wholesome and Respectful Content

MinistrElife is a faith-centered professional community built on respect, inclusion, and shared values. We expect all content to be wholesome, constructive, and non-offensive, even while engaging with difficult topics.

We define wholesome content as:

• Encouraging or educational in nature
• Respectful in tone and intention, and,
• Free from hate, harassment, explicit sexual material, or inflammatory language

5.2 Free Expression Guidelines

We respect your right to free expression, especially in areas of theology, culture, and leadership. We do not censor differing beliefs. However, we reserve the right to moderate or remove content that violates the spirit of this agreement.

5.3 Prohibited Content

You may not upload, post, share, or engage in any activity that:
- Promotes violence, hate, discrimination, or harassment
- Contains pornography or sexually explicit material
- Violates any applicable law
- Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
- Impersonates any other person or entity

    5.4 Reporting Inappropriate Content

If you encounter a post, comment, or resource on MinistrElife that you believe violates our Acceptable Use Policy or is otherwise inappropriate, you may report it by clicking the “Report” link available within the post or resource. 

Once reported:

• A notification will be sent directly to the MinistrElife administrative moderation team.

• The content will be automatically blurred and hidden from view while under review.

Our moderation team will:

• Evaluate the report promptly and fairly.

• Take appropriate action based on the severity of the issue—this may include:

  • Content removal

  • User warnings

  • Account suspension or review

We aim to respond to all reports in a timely and just manner to maintain a safe and respectful environment for our users. Repeated abuse of the reporting system may result in a review of the reporting user’s account.

6. ⚠️ Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 User-Generated Content

All content that you upload, post, or share through the MinistrElife application—including but not limited to text, images, videos, links, and documents—remains the intellectual property of you and/or the organization that created it. You retain all ownership rights to your content.

By posting or sharing content on the App, you grant MinistrElife and its parent organization, ABHMS, a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App, promoting its features, or supporting other users’ engagement as intended by the platform.

We do not claim ownership of your content, and we will never sell or redistribute it outside the platform without your permission.

6.2 MinistrElife Platform Content

All non-user-generated content—including the App design, software code, logos, branding, and platform structure—is the property of ABHMS and its licensors. These elements are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without written consent.

7. Privacy and Data

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for profit. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate this EULA, particularly the Acceptable Use Policy. You may also close your account at any time through your profile settings.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from use of the App.

10. Modifications

We may update this EULA from time to time. When we do, we will notify users through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. ⚖️ Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to These Terms

MinistrElife may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our platform or legal obligations. We will notify you of any significant updates, and continued use of the platform will signify your acceptance of the revised terms.
